Dr. J. Phillips

A lifelong animal lover, Dr. Josh Phillips finds deep fulfillment in helping pets live healthier, happier lives. Originally from Southern New Jersey, he earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from East Carolina University before pursuing his DVM at the University of Florida. While there, he developed strong interests in access-to-care, shelter medicine, and small animal general practice, and earned a professional certificate in Shelter Medicine.

Now living in Pikeville, NC, Dr. Phillips enjoys hiking, running, and spending time outdoors. He shares life with his two dogs, Hazel and Boone, and two horses, Reign and Ares. He’s excited to begin his career and looks forward to caring for your pets like family.
